New Kristin Key CD hits Sirius Radio!

Just got word that Kristin's new CD has been added to the rotation at Sirius!

Kristin Key's second CD for the Uproar label, "Where the Cab Takes You," is now available through iTunes!
Recorded at Capital City Comedy Club in Austin, the physical disc will be released in early 2010. Mostly stand-up, the CD also includes some of Kristin's original comedy songs. Kudos to Kristin, producer David Drozen, recording engineer Joel Haas, and thanks to the good folks at Cap City!

John Sanders wins music showcase!

Congratulations to Geoff Lott who scored his first commercial booking in LA! It's for Little Caesar's pizza, and shoots in a couple of weeks.

And comedian Kristin Key, who has been a top college act the past couple of years, has been selected to showcase at the NACA Northeast Regional conference in Hartford, CT in November.

]]> The Peoples Republic of Komedy (PROK), a tight-knit group of like-minded Seattle comedians, has been creating a stir in the local arts scene with their wildly popular “Laff Hole” show every other Wednesday night at Chop Suey. Combining edgy comedy with some of the hottest young bands in Seattle, “Laff Hole” has created the kind of buzz that Seattle hasn’t seen since the grunge boom of the early 1990’s.

After playing to packed houses every week at “Laff Hole”, PROK decided to branch out, producing shows in nearly every part of the city, and recently producing shows in New York, Portland and Los Angeles. Since 2005, the group has produced over 200 lives shows and is the driving force behind the resurgent Seattle comedy scene.

Despite the recent success, PROK remains committed to its original purpose: to create an artistic co-op dedicated to raising the visibility and stature of stand-up comedy in the Seattle arts community. Their mission, to bring intelligent comedy to the masses, has been an overwhelming success. “Laff Hole” was recently voted “Best Comedy Show” by Seattle Magazine, and the group will be performing at the Sasquatch Music Festival and will manage the regional comedy stage at Bumbershoot.
